Melita graduated from Curtin University School of Physiotherapy (WA) in 2009.
After 2 years of work in Perth, Melita moved to Sydney however she was also
starting to become disillusioned with physiotherapy, feeling that she wasn’t able to understand the body or help her patients as much as she had hoped coming into the profession. Luckily, in Sydney, Melita stumbled across Dr LJ Lee and her functional whole body approach to Physiotherapy, ConnectTherapy™, which changed he career forever. Immediately recognising this approach would enable Melita to get her patients better, faster, and with less risk of future injuries, she found a physio in Bondi to mentor her and began to transition her practice and hone her craft.
After 5 years of continued learning and amazing results in Sydney, Melita took
the plunge and moved to Vancouver to work and study at LJ Lee’s own clinic.
This gave her the opportunity to treat a wide variety of patients from Olympic
athletes to the chronic pain sufferers with complex presentations who flew from
all around the world to come to the clinic.
Melita has recently relocated to Brisbane and is now one of the most highly
trained ConnectTherapy practicing physiotherapists in Australia. Across her time in Sydney and Vancouver, Melita has treated a wide variety of professional and
recreational athletes. That said, she enjoys treating anyone who needs her
assistance to reach their personal goals, especially if they have been unable to
gain relief from more traditional physiotherapy treatments. Given her high level of training, Melita also understands that physiotherapy can offer so much more than just pain relief, including relief of other symptoms such as dizziness, nausea and stiffness, and amazing improvements in performance.
If you have pain or discomfort appear out of the blue, if you are having difficulty
resolving an injury and getting back to what you want to do or if you want to
improve your sporting performance, Melita is the physio for you.
